Their mission statement is as follows: “To be the leading authority for open source intelligence assessments, independent security briefings, and insightful and timely comment on defence, security and foreign policy issues.” It is a lofty goal but one that meets with the needs of today’s society. Their goal is to keep society better informed without all the sensationalism and bias that often comes from our media outlets.
They are made up of volunteers and primarily funded by donations. They already have an impressive and extensive digital library posted for your perusal. The site is very well organized so you can get information at a glance for any region you might be interested in. They have mobile apps and are on many of the social networks where you can link with them to keep up with current world events.
They do not offer any employment opportunities but they do have voluntary, remote contributing analyst openings they are recruiting for. You can get more information on their site here about this or any of their volunteer opportunities.
For an organization with less than a year under their belt, they have accomplished much. They appear to be on their way to being a great resource that could be used in a plethora of ways. If you like what you see, please spread the word to your friends by sharing both this blog and their site on your social media. They do not advertise and exist primarily by word of mouth so they need our help to spread the word.
