Twi-hard Angst

The recent split of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson has garnered all types of emotions and reactions across the world wide web. Many of them seem to be angry and directed at Kristen Stewart herself. I really am wondering why anyone seems surprised with any relationship in Hollywood seemingly doomed from the start.

It is certainly not worth front page daily news as to how each one of them is coping. How do you think they are coping? She’s ashamed that she was an idiot and let her still young hormones get the best of her and get caught in the process. He’s attempting to recover from the shock of finding out someone he loves betrayed him. Reverse it different ways and it pretty much sums up tons of relationships all over the world. Nothing new to see here, move along.

People simply do not seem to put real value on relationships anymore. Granted celebrities under the microscope have to make any relationship twice as hard to make it work completely due to the press whispering about every look or touch that goes on. Everything is sensationalized news these days for them.

As much as her press camp has tried to downplay the entire event it bears to mention, would she have come clean if pictures or a story had not surfaced? Would she have kept on without saying a word to the man she 'loved'? Hard to say since her hand was forced.

I have to say I am disgusted by the way her publicists are trying to make it seem like nothing major happened. Even if they only made out in a car and didn’t 'go all the way' that is still a breach of trust for the other parties. The guy was married with children for gosh sakes. What was he thinking? Well let’s rephrase. He was thinking, just not with his brain.

I don’t buy the whole, I was in a role mentality to make excuses for infidelity to occur. Neither apparently does Robert Pattinson. Kudos to him for sticking to his convictions. These people are all adults and have choices that can be made to say yes or no to. If you say yes and give in to temptation then there should be consequences. I know ladies everywhere are waiting patiently for him to emerge to soothe his tortured soul.

Personally I am a Team Jacob lady so it helps to write this objectively without vitriol at Kristen Stewart or entreaties to Robert Pattinson to get over her soon. All good things come to an end they say. I will not let it affect my attendance of the last installment of the Twilight series in November as their personal relationship has not colored the acting for me. Nor will I let it spoil the film as some have said in their tirades. Why would you let it spoil it? It’s just a movie people. They are 2 actors who if they had never dated, would not have ruined the picture either. Let’s move along here and discuss more important things like the economy or other pertinent news instead of as Hollywood turns.
