Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Pink has become the color for October. Pink is everywhere. In the grocery store, in the convenience store, commercials all show pink products with portions donated to breast cancer awareness programs, even the NFL is showing their support.

It is unfortunate that pink has become the color of the month due to the overwhelming amount of people in our lives who have been affected by breast cancer. It seems to become more prevalent on a daily basis. We all have loved ones that have been touched by this disease or know someone that has been touched by it.

We know survivors and those who were not so lucky. We know people who have suffered through the treatment and emerged victorious. We know people who were not so lucky and lost their fight and have become a treasured memory.

Give back this month somehow to this cause. There are so many ways to donate or help. There are many products that simply through a purchase, donations are made. There are items you have to purchase monthly, try to find the ones that make a difference. Shop with manufacturers and vendors that are giving back to this cause. Where you spend your dollars makes a difference.

Here is something awesome from the company that I work for. If you are searching for a new office chair, consider making it pink. Purchase a chair with a pink ribbon on it and a donation of $25 is made to Pink Alliance. Contact Ami in Customer Service at 1-800-iGoErgo. You can click here to find out more about Neutral Posture.

Last but not least, do your due diligence. Self exam once a month and make sure you keep up with your checkups. Prevention is a large part of staying healthy and early detection saves lives!
